Casts that shipped — stories, not slogans

These anonymised case studies show how our Toronto applied-AI studio builds generative systems for client organizations across Canada. Names and logos are withheld; metrics are illustrative results from past work, not guarantees for future projects.

Localized ad copy without the six-tab copy-paste loop

The problem was familiar: a growth team needed on-brand variations for paid social in four provinces, and every draft started from the same tired template. Their first vendor demo looked brilliant — until real product names broke the tone model.

We mapped a generative content engine with retrieval-augmented generation over their style guide and release notes, prompt engineering tuned to their voice, and evals for generation that flagged off-brand phrasing before humans saw it. A prompt-and-review workflow let editors approve batches in one queue. Integration/API hooks pushed approved copy to their ad platform.

Past pilot metrics showed draft cycles compressing from days to hours for simple variants — your mileage will depend on data quality and approval paths. Humans still signed every line before spend went live.

Catalogue descriptions that survived messy SKUs

A merchandising team had ten thousand SKUs and a generative demo that hallucinated dimensions on anything outside the training slice. The prototype dazzled leadership; production buckled on week one.

We re-cast the pipeline: synthetic data augmentation for thin categories, guardrails blocking unsubstantiated claims, and model evaluation harnesses run nightly against a golden set. MLOps monitoring alerted when drift crossed thresholds. Workflow automation routed edge cases to senior copywriters — human-in-the-loop finishing, not full automation.

Illustrative past results included fewer manual rewrites per batch — not a promise of accuracy or traffic uplift. Responsible AI and PIPEDA-aware data handling were documented for their legal team.

Public-sector team · Internal tools

Policy draft assistant with guardrails first

An internal comms group wanted an LLM copilot to accelerate first drafts of briefing notes. The risk was obvious: confident-sounding text with no citation backbone. We built retrieval-augmented generation over approved document corpora, fine-tuning avoided in favour of transparent RAG citations, and generative guardrails that blocked answers when confidence was low.

Discovery took three weeks; generative prototype in six. Deployment included audit logging and human review before any draft left the department. Outcomes depend on corpus freshness and reviewer discipline — we do not guarantee error-free AI.

Enterprise media · Synthetic assets

Brand-safe synthetic visuals for seasonal campaigns

A media team needed variant visuals faster than their studio could shoot — but refused stock that looked generic or synthetic media that crossed into impersonation. We delivered a creative AI pipeline producing layout-ready assets under strict brand rules, with human art directors approving every export.

Synthetic media was used for backgrounds and compositing layers only — never faces or voice. Data governance and content generation policies were written into the SOW. Past engagement metrics reflected production time saved on approved asset types only.
